Teeth are important, simply put. In society, the appearance of your teeth makes a huge impact, both professionally and personally. Whether you like it or not, people equate things with the health and appearance of your teeth: wealth, hygiene, intelligence...
In life, the appearance of your teeth may not have been something that you had the ability to change or control. However, prioritizing the health of your teeth is something you can make a change toward. If you have dental insurance there is no reason not to see the dentist for your preventative care that is typically covered at 100%. Whether it is baby steps or a giant leap, getting your oral health moving in the right direction is something you will always appreciate down the road. Small issues now can become big issues in the future.
If you're ashamed and embarrassed of your teeth, if you don't smile or laugh for fear of what others will think of you if they see your teeth, if you feel like your teeth have prevented or hindered you from getting positions you want, contact our office. We are welcoming to all and our desire is to help you gain your confidence back when it comes to your smile. Your oral health and wellbeing is our top priority at our office.
If you feel alone in the situation you are in with your teeth, we assure you you are not. Below is a link to an NPR podcast of one woman's experience dealing with the appearance of her teeth and how it affected her ability to get the jobs she applied for:
